Health of the plant

The first edition of the Living Light lamp comes with a Spathiphyllum plant. It is a very strong plant which loves the wet soil of the Living Light lamp. So, make sure the water level stays between the minimum and maximum indication. Don’t be surprised when the tip or the whole leaf starts becoming brown. This is difficult to prevent. When the leaves are starting to have a yellow flare, this is the result of too much sunlight. Green flowers are the result of too little sunlight. For repositioning your Living Light lamp, see positioning.

The technology integrated in the Living Light does not negatively affect the plant or its (natural) surrounding. So, you do not need to worry that the ecosystem is being harmed by the technology.

Warning: do not give the plant extra nutrition, because this can affect the technology negatively.

How to prune the plant

When some leaves or flowers are dying, you can prune them with a scissor. Remove dead flowers after flowering and cut them as low as possible. This also applies to old and shriveled leaves; cut them low at the level of the soil. In this way the plant can divide his energy to the healthy parts of the plant.

If you want to replace the plant, see replacing the plant.
