How does the lighting work?

The Living Light lamp is a mood light which generates its electrical supply via photosynthesis. A loving stroke acts as the switch for the LEDs placed in the wooden ring. The lights will breathe and show their lights for a moment. Stroke the leaves with some love and enjoy the magical light in the dark. The Living Light lamp needs some time to rest in order to recharge.

How do I turn the lights on?

The Living Light lamp doesn’t have a normal light switch; light only appears once you have given the leaves a loving stroke. A sensor, which is attached to a leaf, senses your touch and presence. Because when you give the plant the attention it deserves, it will give you something back: its energy.

Warning: stroke the leaves gently. When you are pulling or squeezing the leaves, the health of the plant will deteriorate. Be careful not touching the electronics.

What is the amount of light per day?

As the integrated technology in the Living Light lamp is based on natural processes, the amount of generated light by the plant can differentiate. If you want to use your lamp everyday, it can light up around 10 minutes a day. One LED will light up for approx. 7 seconds after stroking the plant. The more days the lamp can charge, the longer the lights can be on. This depends on the health of the plant and the environmental circumstances (temperature, humidity etc.).
